Italian Blend

A fragrant Mediterranean blend of home-grown oregano, marjoram and parsley, carefully dried to preserve their natural flavour and aroma.

This is a concentrated blend, so a little goes a long way.

How much to use

As a starting point, use approximately ½ teaspoon per 2–3 serves, then adjust to taste. For a larger casserole or pot of tomato sauce serving 4–6 people, start with 1–1½ teaspoons.

Because our herbs are home-grown and slowly dried, they can be considerably more aromatic than ordinary supermarket dried herbs. Start with a little — you can always add more.

Cooking tip: Add the blend early in cooking to sauces, casseroles and other dishes where the herbs have time to release their flavour. For pizzas, roasted vegetables and other shorter-cooked dishes, sprinkle lightly just before or during cooking.
